So I have signed up for the free subscription to Fresh Books, a site for in the cloud billing and time tracking.
What I have seen so far has impressed me. The site is very clean, well organized, and highly intuitive. The billing/invoicing functions are down right awesome, and the fact that the client can sign in and view their outstanding invoices and make payments is just excellent!
I would highly suggest if you are in the market for a site to do invoicing, time tracking, support cases, or more… to give Fresh Books a try!
Sphere: Related ContentJusthost.com user? Don’t give iDrive WordPress Backup a try!
If you are a user of JustHost.com services, specifically the unlimited plan, as well as a user of WordPress. You should do your best to stay clear of fthe iDrive WordPress backup plugin. This plugin is great in what it offers, which is free 2gb online automatic backup to iDrive’s backup services for your entire site. However, the problem with JustHost.com is that the cron job associated with iDrive will spike above their 10% CPU usage restriction for an extended period of time. Which will result in your account received a very simple “Suspended” email.
Of course JustHost.com could try a couple things before total suspension, such as an email to the user prior to suspension, or maybe even terminating the cron job plus the email. However, I will say that they were very willing to work through the issue if you are aware of what probably caused the issue and sincerely want to fix it. Which was my case.
So for anyone using Justhost.com and wordpress, be sure you don’t give iDrive WordPress backup plugin a whirl.

Barnes and Noble have announced their entry into the digital reader market with the nook.
This device is also the first to be released using Google’s Android as the OS. Which also brings to question how long it will take for someone to modify the unit. Or will someone even need to? From the sounds of it, B&N seems a little open to the idea of Android Apps being available for use. Regardless however, this unit shows great potential and serious threat to the Kindle. The specs for the unit are impressive, as well as a few key notes. One is that the unit allows you to lend your books to other users of the software or devices. Two, you can sync between the nook or any other device running the B&N eReader. And finally, the nook can tap into the Google Books project, for access to over 500,000 free books and other publications.
Now if you were sitting around yesterday for the revealing of this un
it, you may have noticed that it was available for preorder online before they announced it. Probably a mistake, but that didn’t stop me from placing my preorder and then watching the site get pulled until they were ready ready.
Head on over and view the system specs, and place your preorder if you feel so inclined. Or if you wish to wait for some of the other devices coming, you can do that as well.

Google Apps Mobile Sync iPhone Supports Email!
I didn’t even notice this one happen, and only caught it because I was floating around the Google Apps Administration site. Apparently Google has updated the mobile sync to support not only calendar and contacts as it has been for a while, but also email. This was a big hurdle for a while as you would need one sync setup using exchange active sync, and another IMAP setup for your email. The email would not always come to your phone on time and you would have to manually update it.
Well that is no longer the case, as you can now run all services through the one sync setup. Another note is they have enabled you to modify your calendar sync, follow these directions from your iPhone.
Google Sync allows you to choose up to 25 Calendars with the Calendar app on your iPhone (on iPhone OS 3.0)
To select which calendars to sync to your iPhone, follow the steps below:
- Open the Safari browser on your phone and go to http://m.google.com/sync.
- Sign in with your account and select your phone from the list of devices you’ve set up for Google Sync.
- Bookmark this page so you can return to it easily.
Google Apps alternate instructions:
- Open the Safari browser on your phone and go to http://m.google.com
- Click on Google Apps user? at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter your domain name (e.g., YourDomain.com).
- Click the Sync icon in your domain area (this section has a green background).
- Sign in if required.
- Select your device to configure Calendars.
